Today, Ecotricity is the UK's largest independent owner-operator of wind energy and one of the largest exporters of renewable energy equipment. It is also a world-class provider of monitoring apparatus.
It's a far cry from the small wind-monitoring station that set up in a field outside Stroud in 1991. Founder Dale Vincent attributes much of the company's success to its inspirational surroundings and, so, Ecotricity was a natural choice for the South West's business advertising campaign. Alongside the company's PR Officer, Madeleine Carroll, Dale's face features in ads that appear across the world promoting South West England.
Their endorsement of the region is backed up by the striking statistic that South West England has the best business survival rate in Britain. Needless to say, these arresting ads have been well-received and have helped to raise the region's profile among the target audience.
